Reggie Smith will never bend a finger to protect your medical freedom. In fact, the money shows he will work aggressively in favor of corporations forcing vaccines and other medical procedures on employees.
Two PACs recently donated $50,000 each to the Reggie Smith campaign. For a Texas House campaign, this is a large sum of money and indicates a significant level of influence making up about 33% of the total donations Reggie has received to date.
Reggie donors TEXPAC and Texans for Lawsuit Reform are both strongly in favor of companies requiring vaccines as a condition of employment and without exemptions.
There are now $100,000 reasons for Reggie to work against your medical freedom.

TEXPAC, managed by the Texas Medical Association, recently donated $25,000 to Reggie Smith, a sum that was matched by Dade Phelan.
During testimony for a Texas House bill “Relating to exemptions from COVID-19 vaccine requirements”, Texas Medical Association representative Dr. John Carlo, spoke out of both sides of his mouth, initially denying support for vaccine mandates then proceeding to provide multiple reasons and examples to show why companies needed the legal authority to force vaccines on employees. “We would have to limit outreach if we could not insist on the vaccine.”, he complained.
During his testimony Dr. Carlo sounds quite dedicated to vaccine mandates, perhaps more dedicated that some:
“This country would not have existed without vaccine mandates. The first vaccine mandate that we had was General George Washington and at the time the Small Pox was hitting the troops. And if he had not inoculated the troops we would never have beaten the British. And the Small Pox inoculation by the way is not a trivial situation, actually about 3% who got the inoculation died because it was actually a live virus inoculant. And it wasn’t just a mandate, they actually forced the troops against their will to have the shot.… there has always been a compulsory component to this”
Dr. John Carlo representing Texas Medical Association
The Texas Medical Association sounds not only dedicated to mandates, but open to a relatively high percentage of death as an acceptable side effect and physically forcing someone against their will to take a vaccine.

Here is what Texas Scorecard (Source) had to say about the TLR donation:
“But TLR has done more than just donate to Democrats. Last year, the organization came out in opposition to a Republican-led proposal to allow exemptions to employer COVID vaccine mandates for those with sincerely held religious beliefs or acquired immunity.
The organization said the bill would subject businesses to “substantial liability” because it conflicted with federal guidance from the Biden administration.”

33% of Reggie’s Campaign Donations are For Enabling Vaccines as a Condition of Employment

At the time of the writing of this blog post, the Reggie campaign had a total of $298,000 in donations, $100,000 of which is directly acquired from anti-Medical Freedom sources. This is over a third of Reggie’s campaign money.

Further proof of disinterest in protecting your medical freedom is in the fact that Reggie refused to join a popular call for a 4th Special Session to make it illegal for companies to force vaccines on employees. While 30 other Republican Texas Representatives were actively calling for a special session, Reggie was no where to be found or heard!

Shelley Luther is the Choice for Medical Freedom
In contrast to this corrupt collusion between PAC and public servant, Shelley Luther has been a strong supporter of medical freedom and has spoken out often against vaccine mandates and against any corporate role in private medical decisions. She supported the call for a fourth special session to ban vaccines mandates.
Shelley has signed the pledge that she will work strongly to protect your medical freedom whether these attacks come from public or private demands.

As a result, she is recommended by Texans for Vaccine Choice in their voter guide because she signed the pledge. Notice that once again when it comes to medical freedom, Reggie Smith is missing in action.
